Healthy Pizza Recipes & Tips for Navigating pizza Friday!

I love pizza Friday! And for years I fell off track on Friday. The the weekend would come and I would continue down that path. Not anymore...now I have a new healthier habit that has me in control on pizza Friday.


I typically make homemade pizza for the family and then a healthier version for me. Then I sample theirs but mostly eat mine! This helps me stay on track and in alignment with my goals. And it's how I truly make it a lifestyle. I have 3 health pizza recipes that I love to add into the mix.



  1. Pick your base: High Protein Flat out (I love the aldi flat outs), Zucchini Crust, Spagetti Squash Crust or Eggplant Crust

  2. Pick your toppings: I love to brush with olive oil, roasted garlic (or the pureed tube from Aldi), 1/4 cup of Crushed tomatoes or your fav marinara sauce or pesto, 1/3 cup of your fav cheese & italian spices.

  3. Increase the protein & Flavor: Add in chicken sausage and part skim Ricotta cheese.




I always serve our pizza with a garbage salad. Greens, Cilantro, Bacon, Feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes and croutons. And don't forget my famous Balsamic Vinaigrette Found here: https://www.fixnkitchen.com/post/kate-s-famous-balsamic-vinaigrette


Other tips.... There are so many ways to not just eat all the bread at dinner! Sometimes I will throw together sausage and peppers to serve with the regular pizza or even whip up a batch of zoodles. So look outside the box and see where you can add in more veggies and protein! Veggies fill you up and protein keeps you full and satisfied longer! Enjoy!
