Chicken Shawarma

This week I’m doing Chicken Shawarma-Inspired Pitas for my 6-week cut and OMG these are hitting the spot! 44g protein + 6g fiber = 💪
Super filling, easy to meal prep, and SO good. This one might be on rotation for the next few weeks!
Chicken Shawarma Marinade
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp allspice
¼ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
Mix all of the marinade ingredients together and coat the chicken really well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes — longer if you have time!
I meal prep the chicken on Sunday, cook and slice it all up, and then I have delicious shawarma-inspired chicken ready to go all week. Great off the grill, or the air fryer!
To make one pita:
6 oz chicken
2 tbsp hummus
1 tbsp tzatziki sauce — I love the cucumber dill one from Aldi!
1 tsp feta
1 tsp giardiniera
1 Fiber & Flax whole wheat pita — only 70 calories!!!
Warm your pita, spread on the hummus, then add your chicken, tzatziki, feta and giardiniera. Serve with a bunch of cut veggies on the side.
Easy, delicious, filling AND fits perfectly into my 6-week cut.
