Healthy Fries = Turnip Fries!

When I first started 2B Mindset and they started talking about turnip fries I thought they were crazy! First off I had never even had a turnip! Kind of ridiculous considering I'm a foodie and all. So off to the store I went to buy some turnips. You can find them by the radishes. Make sure to prepare these and eat right way as they don't taste so hot when sitting around. These were surprising good. I give a thumbs up to turnip fries! I served with a bun-less burger, cheese avocado, tomato and it was amazing! I seriously didn't miss the bun or the real fries! Give these a try and let me know what you think!

Turnip Fries



1 lb turnips

   1 tbs coconut oil or olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

 1/4 tsp black pepper    1/4 tsp paprika    1/4 tsp garlic powder    1/4 tsp dried parsley


1. Chop ends off of turnips and peel. 2. Cut into .5 inch sticks 3. Toss with oil and spices. 4. Spread on Parchment lined baking sheet. 5. Bake at 425 for 30 min, flipping after 15. 6. Turn heat up to 450 for an additional 5 min.

Serve with a burger with a smiley face (no top bun), or in lettuce or in a wheat thin. And don't forget, water first!!!
