Healthy Baked Ziti


Ingredients

1 lb Turkey sausage

8 oz whole wheat pasta

1 3/4 cups marinara sauce

3/4 cup part skim ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese

Turkey sausage (if making your own)

3 cloves garlic minced

1 tablespoon paprika

2 teaspoon cold water

3/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon fennel

1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix spices with turkey with hands until just mixed. Brown & drain fat when cooking.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450

  2. Coat a casserole dish with spray

  3. Cook sausage.

  4. Cook pasta 2 min less then directions, rinse.

  5. Spread enough marinara sauce on the bottom to coat.

  6. To the sausage, add ricotta, marinara and pasta. Mix.

  7. Add to pan and bake for 25/30 min.


I served with a big garbage salad!
