This easy banana cream pie is a go-to dessert recipe...that also happens to be my son's favorite! I lighten it up a bit by using my favorite nut crust (instead of graham cracker) and True Whip.
The Crust:
3/4 cup almonds
3/4 cup oats
- Blend in processor
- Transfer to bowl and add 1 Tbsp coconut sugar and 2 Tbsp coconut oil or avocado oil.
- Form to pie pan and bake at 375 for 15 min. Let cool.
The Pie: Layer 1: sliced bananas
Layer 2: vanilla pudding (I use instant pudding)
Layer 3: whipped topping or heavy whipping cream (True Whip is a healthier version)
Later 4: more sliced bananas, chocolate shavings, and nuts.
So good!
