Peanut Butter protein balls

Updated: Jun 24, 2021

Let's face it kids love sugar and sweetness just as much as we do!   The easy route would be to have a cookie after dinner filled with all kinds of crap I can’t pronounce and tons of sugar. And is it bad? No not terrible, but it’s helping them to develop bad habits that will follow them later in life.

Instead I made these peanut butter protein balls that are filled with all kinds of goodness, still sweet and I know everything that was put in them, cause I made them!

Do we eat cake and cookies, yes but in moderation and it’s not in the routine. And yes not gonna lie it is a battle. But it’s a battle for life right?!?!? Having this battle now will help them have it easier later... I hope!

At the end of the day this is what it’s all about....these kids I love so much. Showing them what it is to fuel your body, move your body and love yourself. I try to be straight with them and guide them that’s all we can do! Here is the recipe, see if your kids love them too!

  • 2 cups oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1 banana
